Download Instagram Videos on iPhone

Reels, videos and photos straight to your iPhone or iPad — with Safari, no app.

Public posts only. No login, no sign-up.

You don’t need an app or a Shortcut to save Instagram posts on an iPhone. Safari can download files by itself: paste the post link on this page, press Download, and the file lands in the Files app, ready to move into Photos.

Everything below works on any iPhone or iPad with iOS 15 or newer, in Safari or Chrome.

How to download in three steps

    Copy the link in Instagram

    In the Instagram app, tap the paper-plane icon under the post (or ••• at the top) and choose “Copy link”.

    Paste it here in Safari

    Open fastdl.now in Safari, tap the box above, choose “Paste”, then “Get media”.

    Tap Download

    Safari asks “Do you want to download…?” — tap Download. A blue arrow appears in the address bar while it saves.

Moving the video into Photos

If Safari plays the video instead of saving it

Press and hold the “Download MP4” button and choose “Download Linked File”. The video goes to Downloads instead of opening in a player.

Saving a whole carousel on iPhone

Tap “Download all (ZIP)”. In Files, tap the ZIP once and iOS unpacks it into a folder with every slide. Select them all and use Share → “Save Images” to put the whole album into Photos in one go.

Questions and answers

Do I need an app or a Shortcut?

No. Safari downloads the files by itself; nothing to install or grant permissions to.

Where are my downloads on iPhone?

In the Files app → Downloads. You can change the folder in Settings → Safari → Downloads.

Does it work in Chrome on iPhone?

Yes. Chrome saves to Files → Chrome, or shows an “Open in…” sheet where you can pick Save to Files.

Can I save Instagram stories on iPhone?

No — stories need a logged-in account, and we never ask for your Instagram password.
